As received my lonely planet and new digital camera, still had to get a new backpack and hiking shoes.

In the weekend of 21st-22nd January Tom and I went to A.S. Adventure (still sales going on) ... disappointing collection of backpacks ... only 1 ... and a very small one ... but 1 success obtained there: the Lowa hiking shoes.
On Sunday we went to the Golden Crossroad in Sint-Joris-Winge.  The A.S. Adventure store over there had a much more interesting choice in backpacks.
Decided to go for the big one in black ... but then this Chili Red variant came up .... on 50% sales offer .... this offer I couldn't refuse ... The Chili Red one it is !!!  Still thinking why specifically this Chili Red one was at 50% ... and not the black one ....

Last weekend I booked my first night on a hotel very close to Jakarta airport ... as I want to get out of that city as soon as possible upon arrival ... I need to rest first after my 23 hours of travel to get there from Brussels.

During the week of 30th January 2012 I received my second hand Rough Guide of Indonesia ... starting to read my Lonely Planet and Rough Guide I 'm getting a bit nervous now .... 42 nights of well deserved sleep still to count ....

Today, 4th February 2012 I connected to Freddies http://www.santai-sabang.com/ in Pulauh Weh, Sumatra. This little piece of paradise, owned by a South African, will be my basecamp for 5 to 6 days for my first real diving experience in Southeast Asia.  The plan is to get my PADI Open Water Diving Certificate.      PADI logo   juvenile emperor angelfish
What I'm going to do in the remaining16 days I have in this amazing country ... I'll see .... don't want to fix my activities upfront ...

See you next time !
